Raw Nut Milk – a nutrient rich alternative to dairy
Raw Nut Milk
- approx. 3 cups
Ingredients:
1 cup soaked nuts or seeds
(almonds, macadamia, hazel, hemp seed)
3 cups filtered water
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
sweetener to taste
Equipment:
- nut milk bag
- high speed blender
Process:
1. – place soaked, rinsed nuts in high sped blender along with remaining ingredients.
2. – blend on high for a full minute to break down the nut into pulp.
3. – strain the contents of the blender through a nut milk bag into a pitcher to drink immediately or into jars to store for up to four days.
4. – save pulp to use in dips, cookies, cakes etc if desired.
